COFFEE NEWS
NORTHGATE EDITION

Dear Megan,

We have had an ad in the Northgate edition for three weeks now, in an attempt to promote and advertise our new business and I am pleased to let you know that the response that we have had has been absolutely fantastic, not only does our ad look great but people are responding and we are getting many new clients into the salon.

This has been one of the best advertising mediums that I have used.

Thank you for your advice and hard work in helping us advertise our business.

If at any time I can promote and encourage other businesses to use your paper I most definitely will

Kind regards

Advertising-Testimonials.

Peter Bekker:

Herewith my experience with Coffee News as a newsletter and you as the Manager of the business. Firstly, I had to advertise and did not have a lot of money to throw at it at the time. Word of mouth was all I had, which worked well but slowly as most things in the beginning. What got me going was that within two weeks from placing my little ad in the Coffee News I received a call from a consulting engineering company that opened a branch in South Africa. Subsequently I have signed a contract with them and it had been running since. With reference to my interaction with you, I really enjoy your hands on way of handling Coffee News. You seem to have a very positive input and you give fast and effective feedback. I like it because I do not have to wonder what is happening. I wish you all the success with your endeavours and I am sure you will enrich any person that comes in contact with you as well as this business.

This a short note to testify to the success of advertising in Coffee News.In my first six-week spell of advertising in the newspaper, I received two enquiries, both from people who were interested in selling their businesses.

Whilst two enquiries may not sound substantial, this level of response compares favourably to The Star, in which I also advertise, at substantially higher cost and circulation. It should also be borne in mind that a single enquiry in my business can be worth tens of thousands of rands in commission.

If you would like to know more about this publication, please do not hesitate to call me.

This serves to confirm my commitment to Coffee News Randburg. In the beginning we were very sceptical of advertising in Coffee News Randburg, but I did it anyway. Is is a great concept and I am so glad that I ended up advertising as I have had a very good response in only about a month of advertising. As a Nail Technician people are extremely fusy, but I had no problem thanks to Coffee News Randburg, and as a result I am doing great.

Pro-Dive Pool Cleaning:

We began advertising in Coffee News Randburg in the issue dated 18th October 2004, Issue no 43.3

Since that time we have signed up 7 new pool service and cleaning contracts. We have also had many enquiries and small services as a result of our investment with Coffee News Randburg.

The option to change the advert at any time also serves our purposes very well as we can include seasonal specials and promotions, and any changes to our advert carry no additional costs whatsoever.

We look forward to a long ang happy association with Coffee News Randburg

The response to our presence in “Coffee News” come from a wide spectrum. Enquiries came from young people and elderly - as far afield as Randburg, Hillbrow and Pretoria. Some were on e-mail, others in letters. We’d expected a geographically limited middle-aged audience so the variety was a pleasant surprise.
